Romney Endorses McCain
Submitted by Matt Barton on Thu, 02/14/2008 - 14:16.McCainJust read that Romney plans to endorse McCain. Obviously, this will be a big blow to Huckabee. Romney joins Thompson and Giuliani, who have already jumped on board the McCain bandwagon. It seems all but certain that McCain will secure the nomination, but perhaps Romney's approval will help him get more evangelicals and conservatives to the polls in November. In any case, I'm looking forward to hearing the rhetoric fly when Romney explains why he's now supporting the candidate he was lambasting only weeks earlier.

Obama: Who's on First?According to this article in the Times Online (a British news source), Obama's team is claiming the victory in the democratic nomination. Is it true? Clinton's campaign certainly doesn't think so. After all, Texas and Ohio are still on the table. However, if Clinton does lose those two states, things look all but certain for an Obama win.
According to the Associated Press, Obama had 1,186 delagates to Clinton's 1,181. 2,025 are needed to cinch the victory.
